If you have been around many Chihuahuas you know most have a sweet and a spicy side...but Rocky is 100% sweetness!
Rocky is as calm and sweet as they come and from what we have seen he gets along with everyone...dogs and cats included! He does seem to prefer a calm mellow household and he seems to be a bit overwhelmed by large dogs. We think Rocky's perfect home would be one with other senior pets or as a one and only..either would suit him just fine!
Rocky has done well with his potty training, he does not alert you when he needs to go, but as long as you keep him on a schedule he does great. Rocky had really awful teeth, so he just got a majority of his teeth removed, which has made him feel like a new dog! He has some arthritis issues with his elbows and one of his knees that make him a little sore. He started with the Librela injections for arthritis pain and this has made a huge difference for him so he should continue to get those monthly. He would not do well in a home where he would need to do a lot of stairs although at 13 lbs he is light and easy to carry if needed!
Rocky's favorite thing is comfy cozy dog beds. He makes the rounds daily to different beds around the house for his naps. He enjoys being in the same room with you and will always seek you out, but he is not really a fan of being held. He does seek out affection though and loves getting scritches!
Rocky enjoys going out for a daily walk, he is a take your time kind of guy and likes to stop and sniff. He has readily taken to riding in the stroller with his pug foster sister on the way home.
