If you’re looking for a spunky pug with a lot of personality, then Millie might be the girl for you!
Millie is an 8 year old girl who was found as a stray, but you wouldn’t be able to tell because as soon as she enters a home, she gets comfy and makes sure everyone knows that she is the queen of the house! She is a very vocal pug when she is hungry or when she plays, making cute howls and snorts. She loves to play with toys, but she does have the habit of chewing them up, so giving her tough, indestructible toys is best. When she is not playing she loves to cuddle with her people or on a comfy bed/couch.
Millie does well in homes with both dogs and cats. She doesn’t seem interested in playing with them, but seems to enjoy their presence and cuddles. She does get jealous of others and lets you know, but as long as she gets pets too, she doesn’t mind sharing the love. She also seems to do well with children.
Millie is crate trained, so she can sleep there at night or be left for short periods during the day. But we are sure she would much prefer to sleep in the bed with her humans!
Millie has some mild pug myelopathy, with slight incoordination of her hind legs. However, she doesn’t seem to notice as she gets around just fine, and still has the zoomies and the ability to jump on the couch! If small stairs are available she knows how to use them to get on and off the couch/bed. She can go on short walks when the weather is nice, but for longer walks, a cart or a stroller would be best. Due to her mobility issue, it may be best for her to be in a single story home, or two story with gates at the bottom and top of the stairs. She also has some mild incontinence but is on medication for management and has no issues taking them.
Millie will need a home that can accommodate her mild mobility and incontinence issues. It may be best for her to live with other mild mannered pets since she is not interested in excessive playing. But once in her forever home she will give her people all her love, and really that is all she is seeking in return!
