Available dogs

Mable is the cutest little senior pug/Chihuahua mix. She is estimated to be around 10+ yrs old. She is currently taking applications for a wonderful home with doting servants to take care of all her wishes. These include a small midday lunch snack, a comfy bed nearby where you sleep and all the cuddles she can get.

Despite being a senior and having wobbly knees and arthritis in her back, this gal cannot be slowed down! She loves to be out and about to see the sights and sniff out the news. She loves to shout hello to all the neighborhood dogs and is eager to make all the friends. Mabel is a happy and bubbly girl, always ready for her next belly rub, rotisserie chicken snack, or neighborhood exploration walk.

She’s a confident gal, and has no problem speaking up for herself when she needs something. She is 100% house trained and will let out a little bark when she’s ready to go outside. She considers herself the president of the neighborhood watch and will be sure to alert you of suspicious activity happening in the neighborhood.

She’s quick to make attachments to humans and loves to act as your personal shadow. Indoors, when not being attached at the hip, she enjoys belly rubs, a good nap on a pile of blankets, and a good wrestling match or quick chase with either her human or pet roommates.
She lives comfortably with the other dogs in her foster home, after some initial bossing around on her part to keep them in line. Other dogs should be Ok with a new boss in the house or she would also be happy as an only dog and have all the attention!

As her confidence builds she is releasing more of her diva energy. She wants to be the center of attention and doted on as much as possible. If meal time is late, prepare to get the manager because Mabel absolutely has some feedback to give. If other dogs don’t include her in the games she is happy to play referee. She likes her person around as much as possible, so someone who is retired or works from home would be best for her.

Luna is a happy energetic pug looking for a new bestie! Luna came to us after she started having trouble getting along with the other female pug in the house. Luna gets along fine with dogs out and about, but to be safe we are going to adopt her to an only dog home.

Luna is not a couch potato and needs a home that will make sure she gets good exercise daily. She loves going for walks and is very well behaved on the leash and in the car. Luna is crate trained, but she has spent a lot of time in crates recently since she had to have luxating patella surgery. Her preference is to skip the crate if possible!

Luna does fine when left alone, but like most puggies, prefers to be with you. She is such a good girl, she would love a home that lets her tag along whenever possible.

Active, snuggly, perfectly potty trained and supermodel good looks...what else could you ask for?

Attention! Monchiez is a special needs dog, please take the time to research his condition and make sure you understand his needs before applying!

Monchiez spent his first 2 yrs as a breeding dog. We realized quickly after he arrived that he had something that was not quite right. Everytime after he would eat he would regurgitate his food and water. Testing has revealed that he has megaesophagus.
Luckily the treatment for this is quite simple...Monchiez will need to stay upright after eating for about 30 minutes. He loves to snuggle with you on the couch, so it has been very easy to manage this. There are also special chairs you can buy that keep him upright, but so far it seems this may not be necessary. This will be a lifelong issue and may require additional care at times.

Monchiez loves his person and his favorite thing to do is be with you. He is very calm for a young guy and is very easy going. He can get along very well with other animals in the house or be your one and only.

Monchiez is a normal pug in every other way and as long as you are able to put in a bit more extra time when feeding, he will be a wonderful addition to your home.

Chocoflan is a young pug mix, estimated to be around 1–2 years old, and he is one of the most affectionate, curious, and adventurous little guys you’ll ever meet! He also has a big personality and doesn’t really like sharing his favorite things, but who really likes sharing?

If you’re looking for a dog who wants to be your best friend and your adventure buddy, Chocoflan may be your guy. He absolutely adores human and loves meeting new humans. He’s great with kids of all ages! He’s affectionate, outgoing, and happiest when he’s spending time with his people. He also loves getting outside and exploring. He does wonderfully on walks, enjoys hikes, and recently had a blast at the beach. He’s a brave and curious boy who isn’t afraid to investigate new places, splash in the water, or climb up to check out the world from a higher vantage point. He would thrive with someone who enjoys getting outside and taking their dog along for adventures.

Chocoflan also enjoys the company of other dogs and loves playing with them. He does have some resource guarding issues, particularly when it comes to his food and humans. Due to this, he’ll need an adopter who understands dog behavior and is comfortable managing resource guarding with appropriate boundaries and structure. An only-dog home could be a great fit, while a home with other dogs could also work for someone experienced and committed to setting everyone up for success. He would still love opportunities to socialize and play with dog friends! He has been in a foster home with cats who mostly choose to avoid him, and he has done fine with them.

Chocoflan does have some ongoing incontinence related to a previous tail-pull injury. Thankfully, it’s very manageable with belly bands, and it hasn’t stopped him from living a happy, active life. He also really loves being outdoors and will often choose to spend much of his day outdoors, so a securely fenced yard would be strongly preferred.

At the end of the day, Chocoflan is just a sweet, silly, affectionate, adventurous boy who wants to love his people and experience everything life has to offer. He’s looking for someone who will appreciate his big personality, understand the few things he needs help with, and give him the structure and love he deserves.

**New Arrival**

Yoda came to us from a Southern Oregon shelter after being found as a stray. He was most likely used for breeding then discarded when health issues came around.  His biggest issue is the large polyps blocking his ear canals. He will need to get in ASAP for surgical evaluation, he has been suffering for some time.

He is a very sweet and loving boy, who seems very grateful for his second chance.

At just 4 years old, Athena came to us from Tijuana, Mexico. Athena was found near death from starvation and tick disease along with both eyes ulcerated and we agreed to take her in. She spent several weeks being cared for in Tijuana where she built her strength up and arrived to Oregon feeling much better. She has been spayed and had one of the damaged eyes removed for her comfort. Despite all she has been through, she is a happy and well-adjusted girl. Athena has one more hurdle to work through: both of her knees are luxating and she will require specialty surgery to fix them. Once that is done we know she will be unstoppable!
