Meet Devo - A Brave Heart Looking for a forever home

Found alone in a driveway in Southern California, this resilient 3-year-old pup is ready to leave the past behind and start a new, loving chapter. Hi, I’m Cherry! 🍒

I just made the big move from Los Angeles and I’m loving life in my foster home, especially having a yard to play in!

I’ll be honest with you: when we first meet, I might act a little tough. New people make me nervous, so I may bark and put on my “brave girl” act. But if you’re kind and give me a moment, I promise I’ll melt into your new best friend. Men are a bit scarier for me and take a little longer to win me over, but patience and gentle vibes go a long way with my heart.

Once I feel safe, my true personality shines. I’m cuddly, playful, and I love other dogs and toys. I’ve been doing great with potty training, and I was a total rockstar on a long car ride to get here.

What I really need now is stability, love, and someone willing to let me bloom at my own pace. Give me that, and I just know we’ll be besties in no time.

8-year-old Bella is a sweet, soulful pug who truly embodies the cozy, loving side of the breed. She is a world-class snuggler who loves nothing more than curling up on the couch with her people, soaking up affection, and sneaking in a nap or two. When she’s not cuddling, you’ll often find Bella sunbathing, happily stretched out in a warm patch of light like the little solar-powered pug she is.

Bella enjoys her daily walks and walks great on a leash, making her an easy companion for relaxed strolls around the neighborhood. She’s polite, well-mannered, and takes everything at her own gentle pace. Above all else, Bella loves her people and forms strong bonds with
them. She would be happiest as the center of someone’s world, where she can soak up all the love and attention she deserves.

Like many pugs, Bella prefers human companionship over canine social time. She would do best as an only dog, but she may do well with another calm, older dog who respects her space and shares her laid-back lifestyle. Bella isn’t interested in chaos or high-energy play — she’s all about peace, comfort, and quality time.

Bella is looking for a home that appreciates a mature pug with a big heart and an even bigger desire to be close to her humans. If you’re
searching for a loyal couch companion, dedicated sunbathing partner, and a pug who will adore you endlessly, Bella may be the perfect
match.

6 year old Mac, affectionately known as Big Mac, embodies everything wonderful about pugs. He's a champion napper, a devoted shadow who'll follow you from room to room, enthusiastically food-motivated, and an expert lap warmer. Mac enjoys leisurely strolls and would thrive in a calm, slower-paced household where he can truly relax. Mac does well with potty training and will go to the door to let you know he needs to go. His foster family works from home, so he is used to going out about every 4 hours.

Like most pugs Mac wants his person around all the time. He can be left alone, although he may make you feel really bad about leaving him with sad puppy dog eyes and some whining. Your days of going to the bathroom with the door closed will be over with Mac around!

While Mac is perfectly content living with other dogs, he's not particularly social with them. He would much rather be your loyal companion. He's independent enough to do his own thing and will firmly establish boundaries when other pups invade his personal space. Living with calm easy going dogs or as an only dog will be best.

Mac just had airway surgery which will allow him to breathe so much better and hopefully make it so he can start exercising more! We think there might be an active skinny guy hidden in there just waiting to come out! Mac's new owner will need to be dedicated to helping him lose about 10 lbs. Mac takes prescription dry eye medication also.

Hi! I'm Oreo.

I’m a petite 2.5 year old pug who’s looking for my new forever home! Being only about two I have plenty of energy to burn and would love someone who can take me on walks or give me a yard to run around in. I’m shy at first and approach people cautiously, but once we form a bond you can be my one and only. After I get to know you I will happily cuddle with you on the couch and be your little shadow wherever you go.

I LOVE other dogs who are willing to play and tolerate my endless curiosity, I think I would do well in a home with another playful pup. I have also recently learned about the joy of playing with toys and will get the zoomies just keeping myself entertained.

I’m still getting the hang of potty training but my foster mom says I’m improving every day and with a consistent schedule I will be on my way to being accident free. Overall I think I’m a handsome catch with a few things to learn, but the ability to learn as fast as I can steal your heart!

Mia is a 10-year-old senior chug with a gentle, well-balanced personality and an irresistibly charming look. She has the cutest ears, a uniquely shaped head, and an almost otter-like appearance that makes her especially endearing. She’s affectionate without being demanding and brings a calm, comforting presence to her home.

After being passed around online for free, Mia found safety with us and has shown just how special she is. She’s a lovely mix of playful, silly, and cuddly, with plenty of relaxed downtime. Mia enjoys belly rubs, sunbathing, and light play. Mia sometimes expresses herself through adorable soft human-like vocalizations!

Mia does very well with other dogs and has excellent social manners. Her behavior around cats is unknown. She loves kids, but as a senior, she would thrive best in a relatively peaceful home with older or quieter children. Mia is fully house-trained and enjoys walks.

A heart murmur was heard at her vet appointment. We have done a cardiologist consultation and Mia does have advanced heart disease. She is on a medication called Vetmedin. You would not even know that Mia has anything wrong. We are hoping that someone will still be willing to give Mia a loving home, we promise she is so worth it!

She’s ready for a calm, loving home where she can enjoy her golden years feeling safe and adored.

If you are looking for a pug with a whole lot of personality, Bella is your girl! 9-year old Bella seems to be made up of all the things people list as ideal when they are looking for a new canine companion. She is great in the car, wonderful on leash, playful with other dogs and people, cuddly, house-trained, has energy but also loves to be with you on the couch, is fine being left alone for a few hours, and is full of sass. She's also got the cutest little underbite and thankfully even after a dental she got to keep most of her award-winning underbite teeth.

Bella is diabetic and does require insulin shots twice a day and a prescription diet. Her diabetes is no big deal as long as she is kept on a routine feeding and insulin schedule. Giving insulin shots may sound overwhelming but it's actually super easy and she is a very good girl about receiving them. We promise you this special girl is worth the little extra care!

Bella sometimes can be vocal with new people but she warms up within minutes once she knows you mean her well and will be pawing at you to give her pets and put her on your lap. She'd do best in a home with adults or older children who can respect her boundaries. She is plenty playful and likes other dogs that don't mind her vocal play style. Also, we were told she loves to swim, so get those bathing suits ready!

We saved Chimuela from a Central California shelter, hours before she was set to be euthanized!

Chimuela really loves her person and gets attached quickly, she loves to cuddle with you. She also really loves playmates that are about her size. She loves to wrestle and chase and would love her new home to have a dog that would like to play with her. She lives with children and does great with them...she is a perfect family dog!

Chimuela does fine in the home when left alone, and she is doing great with her house training skills. As long as she has a consistent schedule and can be let out frequently she has been perfect!

Xrays showed both of Chimuelas hips had issues. She had surgery on one side and has recovered wonderfully. She may need more treatment on the other hip in the future and we would be happy to give you more info on that if interested. She gets around great and can run and play like any dog!

Chimuela is a wonderful dog, she has the perfect amount of playful energy and cuddle time. She does great in the car and will make someone a wonderful companion!

Kash is a wonderful frenchie, who unfortunately was facing euthanasia due to his ear and allergy issues. Luckily a neighbor stepped in to get him the care he needed and now he is ready to find his new home!

Kash's issues are typical for the Frenchie breed. He is on a special allergy diet to help keep his ear issues in check and he gets a Cytopoint (allergy) injection. Other than that, he is very healthy!

Kash is a very sweet Frenchie...he loves kids, does fine with other dogs, and has a medium energy level. He has lived with a bossy foster sister and has allowed her to tell him what to do with no issues.

We were told he does love to chase cats, so it is probably best he lives in a home without cats. Kash is crate trained, does great in the car and is potty trained!!!! You can't ask for more than that!

If you are interested in giving this wonderful boy the second chance he deserves, put your application in today!

Peter Pugsley is living proof that the best things come in small, wiggly packages. At just 1.5 years old and 13 pounds, this pint-sized powerhouse is overflowing with personality...part goofball, part snugglebug, and 100% unforgettable!

Peter’s journey hasn’t been the easiest. He was found as a stray in California and taken to the shelter. When he first arrived it was clear something was a little… unique about him. Peter has a slightly curved spine, which can’t be corrected surgically, but does not cause him any pain. He gets around with a bouncy, wobbly twist in his stride like he just drank a 6pack of beer😂 And honestly? It just makes him that much more endearing. He doesn’t know he’s any different, and he certainly doesn’t let it slow him down!

Peter thinks he is a normal dog and in his mind he can do anything! To keep him safe, he will need to be in a one level home. He can master getting up one small step and jumping from a low height. He does best on a carpeted surface, or area rugs. He can move around on wood floors, but he slips and slides and it does scare him a bit. We have been teaching him to use a ramp and he seems to be catching on!

He’s a master of zoomies, a social butterfly, and loves meeting new friends wherever he goes. He loves his people and wants nothing more than to be close to you. He is freshening up on his potty training skills, but he will have that down in no time. He would do best with someone that could be home with him more than not. He is crate trained, but not a fan!

In an ideal world, Peter would be adopted by someone who could afford to get physical therapy to help him strengthen his legs. Peter is a little dream dog that will have you wrapped around his paw before you even know it!

We get asked all the time what Lara Croft is mixed with and we just got her DNA test done (scroll through her pics to see the full results!) She's mostly Pug and Chihuahua with a lot of other fun mixes thrown in! We just love her cute little monkey face!

Lara is a petite 4 yr old girl at only 13 lbs and she came from a hoarding case in California.  She is very smart and despite her scary past, she learns to adjust quickly to things around her. She loves people more than anything and will immediately crawl up into your lap if you are sitting down. In fact, we honestly think this girl would cuddle with you 24/7 if you let her! Her other favorite thing is going for walks. This was once terrifying to her, but now she will dance with happiness when her leash comes out. She loves to stop and sniff EVERYTHING though, so be prepared for a lot of stopping!

Lara has done great with potty training, but needs to be kept on a schedule so someone that is home more than not would be best. She will not go potty when on leash however, so she will need a fenced yard. She currently lives with dogs and cats and lives in harmony with both. She will need dogs that are not overzealous and pushy about being in her space.

Lara can still be nervous and there are situations that are still scary to her. Fast movements or loud noises, raised voices, and people standing over her. She will do best in a quiet home that can be mindful and patient with her as she continues to learn the world is not that bad.

Lara does well in the car and will be a great companion for someone!
