Hi I am Todd and I am a very special guy that is full of love. I am an energetic boy that loves balls, walks and car rides!

I also love dogs and cats and would do best in a home that has other animals that like to play with me. I don't understand if they don't like me, so I may not be the best fit for older dogs that are not interested in me.

When I first meet people I might act tough and throw all my 13 lbs behind some barking, but it is just a show and I warm up very fast. I really love my person and always want to snuggle if I am not playing.

I am potty trained and well mannered in the house. A fun fact about me is that I have some talk buttons I know how to use!

I have something called hydrocephalus. My case is very mild and really it does not affect me with symptoms at all. You may just notice my eyes are a bit further apart than normal. Right now I am just a normal guy, that may change in the future, but then again I may not have any issues. Please don't let that stop you from loving me! I can't wait to hear from you!

Rooster is a one-of-a-kind pug with a big personality and even bigger affection. When this boy cuddles, he throws his whole body into you and has no concept of personal space. He's larger than your average pug, with long legs to match, and he carries himself with the confidence of a dog half his size.

Those long legs aren't just for show. Rooster genuinely loves walking and would likely thrive with an active family who can take him out regularly — he has the build and the energy for longer adventures, maybe even hikes.

He's smart and eager, which makes training straightforward. We're currently working on not jumping, and his strong food motivation means he picks things up quickly with the right incentives. Potty training is coming along well with a consistent schedule, so a family that can keep things routine will help him continue to progress.

Rooster can be sensitive to sudden movements or surprises, so a calm, patient household suits him best. Once he feels comfortable and secure, he's an incredibly loyal and affectionate companion.

If you're looking for an active, loving pug who will always want to be by your side, Rooster is your guy.

13 year old Puggle (Pug-Beagle) Bea was left at the shelter by her family, but let's be honest, they had not taken good care of her, so it has ended up in her favor!

After getting 13 years worth of medical care in one month, Bea is now feeling like a new girl and is ready to charm her way into the hearts and home of a lucky family. She has had a full dental and is ready to take on the world!

She is perfectly house trained and happily shares her space with other calm dogs. She ignored the cat she met . Bea will thrive with someone who is retired or works from home. She appreciates a more quiet lifestyle, with a fenced yard to roam and cozy beds for lounging.

Bea does have some arthritis, so she will need a one level home, although she could manage a stair or two. Bea came in quite overweight and will need continued support to lose a few more pounds. She is the cutest senior girl and an easy keeper!

Are you looking for the best boy around with the good looks to match? Goose is a very loving pug who has snuggling down to a science. He likes to give hugs and loves getting under the blankets to cuddle.

Goose enjoys toys and will carry a stuffie around the house. He lives with lots of other pugs and has just started playing with them.

We were told Goose had some behaviors in his prior home which we have not seen at all. We think he may have had some anxiety there for some reason. We were told he was not potty trained, but he has been perfect since coming to us. We were also told he got into things he shouldn't and ate them causing bowe blockage.

We have seen either of these behaviors, but to be safe he should go to a home that is not cluttered and is conscientious about keeping trash cans where they cannot be accessed. He did live with large breed dogs which may have been part of the anxiety, but he has done great with dogs his size.

If you are a pug experienced home that would like to welcome this wonderful guy he can't wait to meet you!

Hi, I’m Elsa, and I’m proof that the best things can come from the most unlikely places — like a Craigslist “free dog” ad the day after Christmas.

I arrived into foster care a little rough around the edges. Thin, scared, and clearly having spent most of my 8 years being exploited for breeding rather than someone’s beloved companion. But here’s the thing about mama dogs: we know a thing or two about love. And it turns out, I have plenty left to give.

I am incredibly kind and gentle with other dogs, great with kids, and happy around all kinds of people. I even met a cat once (she was rude to me, but I handled it like a lady). I’d probably do best in a home with another canine companion, but I keep an open mind. When I’m excited to see you, I make the most adorable soft, woofy howl sounds. My foster family says it’s truly something special.

I love toys, sniffing everything on walks, and trying new foods. I’m also great in the car and genuinely happy just along for the ride, literally and figuratively.
My very favorite thing, though? Bedtime. I’m a world-class snuggler who will curl up peacefully next to you and make you feel like the luckiest person alive.

I have a heart condition called Sick Sinus Syndrome. It requires me to take medication twice a day that will cost about $100 a month. You can read more about this here

I’ve had a hard start, and I’m so ready for a soft landing. A cozy home, a kind person, a dog friend to share it with, and a warm spot at the end of the bed. Could that be with you?

Two tails of cuddly goodness! Meet Dixie and Daisy. These two adorable bonded senior ladies are the definition of wiggly furry fun. They are quite chatty when communicating to the humans, but not too loud. Love to go outside, take walks, wagon rides but will curl up in a soft bed, or a blanketed lap at the drop of a hat.

These two are potty trained and sleep comfortably in their bed or on your bed at night.

Dixie and Daisy are proof that good things come in small cuddly packages.

5 yr old Booker came to PPR after some major life changes in his home. He is a pug mix and our best guess is mixed with a Frenchie. He is a big strong boy that is well house trained.

Booker checked out healthy at the vet and had his teeth cleaned and airway done. He loves being with his people as much as possible, so he would do best in a home where he does not have to be left alone for long periods of time or left in a crate. He is not destructive but does bark and cry in a kennel. A fenced yard and an owner that can help him burn energy will be a must.

Booker is a well mannered nice boy at home but seems to have anxiety when leaving the house. He is leash reactive and does not have great leash manners. We have introduced him to dogs off leash and he does well meeting them but he does show a little bit of fear/anxiety. We think he just has not been properly socialized and the outside world is overwhelming and scary for him.

We have started Booker with a trainer and a new owner will need to be dedicated to helping him become more relaxed in the outside world. Booker is very smart and food driven, so we think with the right owner and some work, he will be a wonderful boy. We even think he could learn some tricks! Booker loves a ball and will play ball all day long if you let him!

We think Booker would probably do best as an only dog, however a calm dog that is not interested in balls(he does not like to share his ball with other dogs!) would probably work out fine. We were told he lived with cats in his prior home without issue.

If you feel you can help Booker be the best version of himself, he would love to meet you!

We get asked all the time what Lara Croft is mixed with and we just got her DNA test done (scroll through her pics to see the full results!) She's mostly Pug and Chihuahua with a lot of other fun mixes thrown in! We just love her cute little monkey face!

Lara is a petite 4 yr old girl at only 13 lbs and she came from a hoarding case in California.  She is very smart and despite her scary past, she learns to adjust quickly to things around her. She loves people more than anything and will immediately crawl up into your lap if you are sitting down. In fact, we honestly think this girl would cuddle with you 24/7 if you let her! Her other favorite thing is going for walks. This was once terrifying to her, but now she will dance with happiness when her leash comes out. She loves to stop and sniff EVERYTHING though, so be prepared for a lot of stopping!

Lara has done great with potty training, but needs to be kept on a schedule so someone that is home more than not would be best. She will not go potty when on leash however, so she will need a fenced yard. She currently lives with dogs and cats and lives in harmony with both. She will need dogs that are not overzealous and pushy about being in her space.

Lara can still be nervous and there are situations that are still scary to her. Fast movements or loud noises, raised voices, and people standing over her. She will do best in a quiet home that can be mindful and patient with her as she continues to learn the world is not that bad.

Lara does well in the car and will be a great companion for someone!

A really horrible person thought it was a good idea to breed this poor old girl. She came to us from an unethical breeder who had no more use for her. She has been overbred and not cared for at all, but that will all be changing. We will get her all caught up on medical care and show her how good life can be.
