Two tails of cuddly goodness! Meet Dixie and Daisy. These two adorable bonded senior ladies are the definition of wiggly furry fun. They are quite chatty when communicating to the humans, but not too loud. Love to go outside, take walks, wagon rides but will curl up in a soft bed, or a blanketed lap at the drop of a hat.

These two are potty trained, educated on the use of stairs, and sleep comfortably in their bed or on your bed at night.

Dixie and Daisy are proof that good things come in small cuddly packages.

Finn is a big personality in a tiny body. Tipping the scales at 5 lbs he is the cutest puppy around. Finn charms everyone he meets with his old man scruff and big, brown eyes. At 10 weeks old Finn is still working on potty training, but sleeps through the night in his crate.

He adores toys, walks, and playing fetch. His ideal family would have a young dog to play with - he loves to wrestle! - and people who will let him be their constant sidekick.

Finn was born with Megaesophagus, which is  condition where the esophagus does not move food and liquid into the stomach as expected, and requires special feeding techniques (such as holding him upright after meals to ensure food goes down to his stomach) to avoid things like regurgitation, but so far he is managing it quite well! His new owner should be familiar with this and able to offer him support throughout his life.

He is clever, charming and a delight to have around. His megaesophagus doesn’t slow him down at all- and it is an added bonus that you get after meal snuggles (which usually end in a nap).

Beautiful 5 year-old Booker came to PPR after some major life changes at home. We’re still getting to know him, but he is a loving, snuggly sweetheart for his foster family. He is house trained, and he previously lived with cats.

Booker checked out healthy at the vet and he had his teeth cleaned and airway done. He wants to be with his people as much as possible, so he would do best in a home where he doesn’t have to be left alone for long periods of time. He has not been destructive, but he barks and cries if left in a kennel. He would much prefer snuggling in bed with you!

He was bonded to a senior pit bull in his prior home, but we were told he may do best as an only dog because of resource guarding of his toys. He is super smart and eager to please, especially for a tasty cookie. He loves walking, and he is quick and strong. He loves meeting people and dogs on his outings, but he gets overly excited and barky when he sees another dog. He needs a patient owner who can work with him on this.

He is quite the beggar, and he would definitely swipe food off a young kiddo’s plate, so maybe older kids would be a better fit for him. He’s a fantastic, precious little guy with so much potential for a kind, understanding adopter. Contact us today if you feel that Booker could be a good fit for your home.

Meet Miss Chanel

She may not be a designer breed like her namesake, but Miss Chanel is still pretty fabulous in her own way. Chanel came to us from Tijuana, Mexico, and while we don’t know much about her past, it’s clear she’s still learning that life can be safe, cozy, and predictable.

Chanel is a bit of a nervous Nelly at first and tends to stay on high alert, even when there’s nothing to worry about. With slow decompression, patience, and kindness, she’s already starting to realize that her new chapter is all about smooth sailing and zero danger around the corner.

This little lady is full of personality and very vocal. In true Chihuahua fashion, Chanel uses growls to express everything: excitement, happiness, playtime, and general commentary on life. She isn’t mean at all, but if you don’t speak fluent Chihuahua, her communication style might surprise you at first. Once you get it, it’s honestly pretty hilarious.

Chanel does well living with other dogs, though they’re sometimes unsure what to make of her unique vibe. Let’s just say our girl is a little awkward… and we kind of love that about her.

She’s making great progress with potty training and will need a securely fenced yard. Leash walking is still a work in progress—she doesn’t seem to have much experience and is a strong girl who’s learning her manners one walk at a time.

Chanel is looking for a quiet, patient home that can give her time to decompress, plenty of exercise, and help her build confidence and basic skills. For the right person, she’s going to be a total hidden gem just waiting to shine.

If you’re ready to help Miss Chanel step into her supermodel era, she would love to meet you

We get asked all the time what Lara Croft is mixed with and we just got her DNA test done (scroll through her pics to see the full results!) She's mostly Pug and Chihuahua with a lot of other fun mixes thrown in! We just love her cute little monkey face!

Lara is a petite 4 yr old girl at only 13 lbs and she came from a hoarding case in California.  She is very smart and despite her scary past, she learns to adjust quickly to things around her. She loves people more than anything and will immediately crawl up into your lap if you are sitting down. In fact, we honestly think this girl would cuddle with you 24/7 if you let her! Her other favorite thing is going for walks. This was once terrifying to her, but now she will dance with happiness when her leash comes out. She loves to stop and sniff EVERYTHING though, so be prepared for a lot of stopping!

Lara has done great with potty training, but needs to be kept on a schedule so someone that is home more than not would be best. She will not go potty when on leash however, so she will need a fenced yard. She currently lives with dogs and cats and lives in harmony with both. She will need dogs that are not overzealous and pushy about being in her space.

Lara can still be nervous and there are situations that are still scary to her. Fast movements or loud noises, raised voices, and people standing over her. She will do best in a quiet home that can be mindful and patient with her as she continues to learn the world is not that bad.

Lara does well in the car and will be a great companion for someone!
