Let me introduce you to Pickles! A little pug who’s kind of a big Dill! He’s a super happy lil black pug who’s looking for a new start in life.
Pickle facts - Pickles is a calm and happy 2yo Pug, and is definitely a lover not a fighter. He was recently neutered and his nares and palate were fixed, so he is ready to brine the love to his new family.
About the lil gherkin - Pickles is shy at first but very calm and happy when meeting new people and pets. He is slow to show his true sweet, loving, cuddly self. He will be your shadow around the house as he “relishes” being near or attached to his people. He is a live and let brine kinda dog. He has two foster-pug friends who helped him relax and enjoy life over the last couple of weeks and now LOVES getting outside and exploring the backyard, basking in the sun while chewing on a bone, and sniffing all the sniffs. Pickles was hesitant when eating at first but now gobbles food down in true pug fashion. He has a small urge to mark, but this is getting less every day since his surgery. He is potty trained but when he’s inside it's best that he wears his belly band for now.
Pickles does have a history of seizures so is on seizure meds 3x a day which he will need to continue. He gobbles the pills down very quickly in true pug fashion when it’s lovingly wrapped in cheese.
Here is the dill - Pickles is an amazing dog! He will be great for families with another non-aggressive pet or as a loner but he craves attention so needs to be where he gets it. His sweet personality will Vlassic his way into anyone’s heart in short order. Patience and calmness are quickly be rewarded with deep snuggles, a great nap partner, affectionate licks, and a loyal sidekick. He is an amazing pup looking for a lucky owner willing to give him the love and pickle puns he deserves.

We were told Pete was a pug mix, but while we think there is a sprinkle of pug, he is built like an English Bulldog, carries himself like an English Bulldog, and has the stubbornness to match. There probably is some Frenchie in there too, but Pete is firmly his own guy. He weighs about 40 lbs and is estimated to be 5 years old.
Since coming into our care, Pete has had a full veterinary workup including dental, airway, and ear surgery to remove a growth from his right ear. He came to us with a lifetime of untreated allergies that had taken a toll on his ears, and he’ll need ongoing care with a dermatologist to keep them healthy. We’ve done the heavy lifting — now he just needs someone to keep up with the maintenance.
Life with Pete
Pete’s hobbies include cuddling, eating, and playing with a ball or Kong donut. He enjoys neighborhood walks when it’s dry and under 70 degrees, and he will absolutely let you know when he wants to stop or go a different direction — usually by planting his feet and staring you down. He’s treat- and people-motivated, so he can be redirected with patience and snacks.
Pete is friendly to every creature he meets and loves to play with other dogs. That said, his play style runs a little bossy and rough, so he’d do best as an only dog, or in a home with bulldog-savvy humans who can manage his interactions with canine friends.
A few things to know
Pete has one eye and some reduced hearing. He gets around well and responds reliably, but he can't manage a lot of stairs. He’s completely fine being carried and needs to be lifted in and out of cars — something he accepts with full dignity.
He has made real progress on potty training and needs someone who will continue that work with consistency, treats, and encouragement.
Pete is a total showstopper — handsome, friendly, and ready to be someone’s devoted best friend. Whoever brings him home will be very lucky indeed.

This 11 yr old guy is in great shape for his age. He is the perfect blend of active and chill. He needs an owner that can take him for a nice daily walk since he can get bored in the house. Just like us, when he gets bored he wants to eat and will bug you for snacks or early dinner😂
Dexter is very well mannered in public and in the house. He is doing great with his potty training and has done fine with the other dogs he lives with...although he does not really have interest in interacting with them. We would guess he would also do fine with cats. If you work from home, he will lay next to your desk and sleep quietly while you work, but he also does fine at home alone.
Dexter is a bigger guy, we are guessing he is a bit of a mix, but we are not sure what with. His absolute favorite thing to do is hang out in the yard on nice days. We have never met a pug that liked to be outside more than this guy! For that reason he will need a fenced yard that he can safely hang out in. He will spend hours napping and sunning if you let him! Dexter also recently started playing with toys, so he is opening up more each day!
If you have a nice yard and some time to spend with him, Dexter can't wait to hear from you!

Do you like your senior pugs mild or spicy? If you lean towards the higher end of the heat scale, Ruby will be the girl for you!
This independent no nonsense girl knows what she wants. While she is quite the sass queen, she is equally playful and loving. She just likes things on her timeline and terms...can you blame a girl???
10 yr old Ruby is one of those pugs that needs a little more maintenance. She has a very deep nasal fold that needs to be kept clean and she needs prescription eye drops to keep her eyes from being so dry. She is mostly blind, but gets around amazingly well. She loves to go for walks and does great on leash. Ruby has a history of skin/allergy issues and ear infections. However we have gotten her all cleaned up and she has been doing great.
Ruby has done fine with other dogs and cats. She is independent and not really interested in them, but will live peacefully. She has started playing with toys and she loves to go for car rides. She currently lives in an apartment with her foster mom and does great with that lifestyle. She does fine being left alone, but is used to getting a potty break every 4-5 hours. She is fully housetrained.
Ruby can get a little grumpy if you try to make her do something she does not want to do. She especially is not a fan of the vet office. Don't tell her, but we giggle when she growls and snaps, we of course think she is harmless, but she would not do well in a home with children. You do need to be patient with her antics and sometimes she just needs a bit of space.
If you are a warm fuzzy kind of pug owner, Ruby probably is not a match for you, but if a strong, independent and no nonsense queen is more your jam, Ruby will be a dream dog for you!

Sweet Elsa was used for breeding and being given away on craigslist. We have provided her with a much needed dental, spay, and other veterinary care but we also found out she has a cardiac disorder called sick sinus rhythm which is unresponsive to medication. We are now fundraising to get her a pacemaker, which will improve her quality of life for many years to come.
