Papa Fritas was found as a stray in very bad condition in Southern Oregon. He has been busy the past month getting all his medical care done. Eye removal, neuter, dental and airway surgery! Papa still is a little underweight and needs to improve his coat, but with good care he should be good as new in no time!
Papa is a very calm go with the flow kind of boy. He loves all people and is always up for some cuddle and nap time. He has done well with all the dogs he has met and we would guess he would not have an issue with cats. Papa enjoys playing with toys and he continues to come out of his shell more and more. It seems like he did not have a lot of human interaction in his past life, but he is starting to really enjoy living the good life.
We do not think Papa was ever potty trained, he has probably lived outside most of his life, so he needs more work on this. Someone that is home more than not, and can dedicate some time to getting this dialed in will be best.
This cutie is waiting for you and can't wait to meet you!

Meet Penelope (Penny) – The Tiny Queen of Hearts
Looking for a pint-sized bundle of joy with a big personality? Meet Penelope, affectionately known as Penny, a rare and beautiful albino pug whose bright spirit will instantly light up your home. She’s a petite girl with a playful spark — equal parts sweet, sassy, and endlessly entertaining. Whether she’s zooming around the yard or cuddling up for a nap, Penny is the perfect mix of energy and affection.
This little lady adores her walks, loves to explore the backyard, and has a soft spot for squeaky toys and chew bones. She’s smart, curious, and always ready for the next adventure. Penny’s playful nature and adorable antics will keep you smiling every single day. When she’s done playing, she’s a total snuggle bug who melts right into your lap.
Penny is potty trained, well-behaved, and loves being the center of attention. She would thrive best as the only pet in the home, where she can soak up all the love (and rule the roost — she knows she’s royalty!). Her heart is as big as her personality, and she’s ready to shower her new family with loyalty, laughter, and endless pug kisses.
If you’re ready to open your heart to a one-of-a-kind girl who’s as unique as she is lovable, Penny is waiting to meet you. This beautiful little pug will bring warmth, joy, and companionship to anyone lucky enough to call her their own.

Do you like your pugs calm, cool and collected? Then meet Harold! Even though he is a young guy, Harold just takes things as they come and does not let things stress him out. Harold gets along with everyone he meets and although we have not seen him around cats, we would guess he would not be phased.
Harold is great with his potty training and will go to the door if he needs to go. He is crate trained and will sleep in his crate all night, although like most pugs, we are sure the bed would be his first pick. He will need prescription medication for dry eye for life and he is trying to lose some weight.
Harold loves belly rubs and will drop to the floor and roll over at any sign of a possible pat! He loves his toys and tug of war and when you come back from being gone, he will bring one of his toys to show you. He likes to sunbathe on the deck and is just an all around good boy!

Penny is a typical Basset Hound and she is so much fun! She has gotten along with everyone she has met and is a very sweet girl. She is very loving and requires your attention...in fact if you have not provided the correct amount she will use her nose to nudge you and let you know it is time for more pets.
Penny is perfectly potty trained and crate trained. She loves to go for walks, but she needs some work on leash. She is about 50 lbs and she uses all that weight to drag you down the street! Once she gets some leash work training, she will be a wonderful walking companion.
Like most hounds, Penny is very vocal...when she wants your attention, when she is excited, when it is time to go potty...you get the picture. Her bays and barks are very cute, but she will not be suitable for shared wall living. She does jump up on you for some love, so small children may not be a good fit for her size.
Penny does have some chronic issues we are treating. She may need to be on a prescription diet for her skin and needs maintenance with Cytopoint. We are currently working to find some good options for that.
Penny is a lovely girl and someone will be so lucky to welcome her!

Mateo is the sweetest little chug boy, whose first 6 months of life have not been kind. Born on the streets of Mexico and then neglected, he is one of the lucky ones to find his way out.
You would never know Mateo has suffered, he is the happiest boy full of puppy silliness and joy. He loves other dogs, but his true love is people, he has never met a stranger.
While he has the typical puppy energy, he is also more than willing to stop and have a snuggle.
Mateo has quickly picked up the habit of sleeping with his person and he loves it! He is doing well with potty training, but will need continued guidance. He is also learning to walk on a leash and he gets better every day.
Mateo loves rearranging shoes in the house, but he does not chew them! He does enjoy a chew session, but a dog friendly chew toy will keep him out of trouble. He loves having a yard to run around in and has done great in the car.
If you have the time to continue to teach Mateo how to be a good canine citizen, this little guy will bring a lot of joy to your life!

Dixie is a sweet, affectionate and funny little lady who just wants to be your number one. Dixie loves her people and wants to be your little shadow wherever you are. She is affectionate and will playfully demand more pets with her paw if she’s decided you’re not done yet. She loves to curl up on a lap and rest but can also be playful and excited whenever she knows it’s time for dinner or to go outside.
She gets along great with her two similarly sized foster brothers and we are told she was a great companion to a 3 year old child in her last home. We were told she doesn’t get along as well with bigger dogs but have yet to test her with them or cats.
Dixie has had a few accidents since coming to stay with us, but she gets better every day with a consistent schedule. She listens and is a fast learner and she will be a great companion to anyone with a consistent schedule and love to give.

Six year old Jones is a darling, good boy. He is mostly blind, but can see a bit and maps out his surroundings easily. You would hardly guess he has limited vision, as he is quite active and playful!
Jones likes car rides and walks and snoozing next to his person. He has had no potty accidents at his foster home and does well with a predictable schedule.
Jones lived previously with a large dog that often attacked him, so he is still easily startled and will thrive in a calm, quiet home where he can truly relax and forget about those days. He currently gets along well with the other small dogs in his foster home although he may do best as an only or with one other easygoing dog.
We recommend an adult only home, or one with respectful, older kids. Jones is a cuddly, affectionate boy with a little bit of puppy energy that makes him irresistible!

Looking for a loyal, loving, and oh-so-special companion? Meet Hank, a 3-year-old French Bulldog with the biggest heart and the gentlest soul.
Hank is happiest living life in the slow lane. He loves leisurely strolls where he can stop and smell every flower, rather than power walks. Whether he’s hanging out at home, meeting new people, or tagging along for a trip to Home Depot, Hank is calm, well-mannered, and always right by your side.
He adores people of all ages and gets along wonderfully with other animals. He’s never shown a hint of reactivity, making him a dream companion for just about any home. Hank truly just wants to love and be loved.
Hank does have special medical needs—he is epileptic and takes medication to manage seizures. Because of this, his ideal forever home is one where someone is home most of the time, in case he needs support. He would thrive in a family with kids and pets, or just as well with a single person who can devote time and love to him. Most importantly, Hank needs someone patient, understanding, and financially able to provide his ongoing medical care.
In return, Hank will give you unwavering loyalty, endless snuggles, and the kind of unconditional love that makes every day brighter. Whoever gets to call Hank their forever pup is truly lucky.

We get asked all the time what Lara Croft is mixed with and we are not sure, but we can say whatever it is, she is adorable! We just love her cute little monkey face!
Lara came from a hoarding house in California that was full of chugs. We do think she has some Chihuahua mixed in there, but our other guess is Min Pin!
Lara is a petite 4 yr old girl at only 13 lbs. She is very smart and despite her scary past, she learns to adjust quickly to things around her. She loves people more than anything and will immediately crawl up into your lap if you are sitting down. In fact, we honestly think this girl would cuddle with you 24/7 if you let her! Her other favorite thing is going for walks. This was once terrifying to her, but now she will dance with happiness when her leash comes out. She loves to stop and sniff EVERYTHING though, so be prepared for a lot of stopping!
Lara has done great with potty training, but needs to be kept on a schedule so someone that is home more than not would be best. She will not go potty when on leash however, so she will need a fenced yard.
She currently lives with dogs and cats and lives in harmony with both. She will need dogs that are not overzealous and pushy about being in her space.
Lara can still be nervous and there are situations that are still scary to her. Fast movements or loud noises, raised voices, and people standing over her. She will do best in a quiet home that can be mindful and patient with her as she continues to learn the world is not that bad.
Lara does well in the car and will be a great companion for someone!

Fiona came to us from the streets of Tijuana hoping to find a home in Oregon. We are not sure what kind of life Fiona had before, but her love of humans is unmatched. No one is a stranger to Fiona, she is ready to give kisses and hugs to whoever she meets!
When she is not out being social, she is perfectly content to be at home with you. She loves to snuggle and if you sit on the couch Fiona will be right there with you. She likes patrolling her backyard keeping you safe from squirrels and snacking on her foster mom's berries. She also enjoys playing with her toys and giving them a good shake!
Fiona's is mostly blind, but she can see movement. . She is missing one eye and the other has dry eye which she will need to take daily drops for.
Despite being blind, Fiona maps out her environment quickly and has learned to use stairs to get on the couch and bed! Other than that Fiona is very healthy and had a full makeover when she got here. Spay, dental, eye removal!
Fiona is a sassy little Frenchie who knows what she wants—and that’s YOU, all to herself! She needs to be your one and only pet (because why share the spotlight?). Don’t worry though, her limited vision makes her easy to handle on walks, and she’s more interested in being by your side than anything else.
If you love Frenchies and would like to give a very special senior girl a home, Fiona will be a wonderful addition!
