Mateo is the sweetest little chug boy, whose first 6 months of life have not been kind. Born on the streets of Mexico and then neglected, he is one of the lucky ones to find his way out.

You would never know Mateo has suffered, he is the happiest boy full of puppy silliness and joy. He loves other dogs, but his true love is people, he has never met a stranger.
While he has the typical puppy energy, he is also more than willing to stop and have a snuggle.

Mateo has quickly picked up the habit of sleeping with his person and he loves it! He is doing well with potty training, but will need continued guidance. He is also learning to walk on a leash and he gets better every day.

Mateo loves rearranging shoes in the house, but he does not chew them! He does enjoy a chew session, but a dog friendly chew toy will keep him out of trouble. He loves having a yard to run around in and has done great in the car.

If you have the time to continue to teach Mateo how to be a good canine citizen, this little guy will bring a lot of joy to your life!

A bit about Billie, she is a 12.4lb CHUG (Chihuahua/Pug) that is 4 years old from Cali! This gal started off with a rough life with someone using her for breeding, then quickly dismissed after they were through. Luckily Pacific Pug rescue brought her up north to get a fresh start.

Billie may be small but she is mighty in many ways. Now, being in Oregon for 15 days we have seen her personality shine. She has learned how to be brave in social situations, instead of being scared. Now she is more curious and outgoing. She loves adventures, hiking, boating, car rides, going to habitat for humanity and Tripster parties.

She has mastered potty training in under a week, but prefers to find the “dry” spots to do her business. She has wonderful manners and is perfecting her sit, stay, walking on a leash and cuddles. She loves toys, fluffy bedding, blankets and yes even her foster brother who is teaching her the ropes.

Billie will make a wonderful companion to anyone who loves the Chug breed!

Looking for a loyal little sidekick with a big personality? Meet Buddy, an adorable 2-year-old Frenchie-Pug mix who’s ready to snuggle his way right into your heart 💕. Buddy is the ultimate human-lover — he lives for cuddle time and insists on sleeping under the covers at night like the true snuggle champion he is. He’s house trained, not destructive, and has no separation anxiety, making him an easy-going companion at home.

He loves to play — we mean he really loves to play — so much so that his energetic Frenchie personality might be a bit much for calmer or older dogs. Buddy will need to meet any resident dogs before adoption to make sure he is a good match. He recently had a blast at the dog park, and a fun play date with Dobermans! Whether it’s playing fetch or chewing his favorite bones, Buddy’s always up for some fun. Like many Frenchies, Buddy does come with a few allergy-related quirks. He receives Cytopoint injections to help with itchiness, gets his wrinkles cleaned regularly with medicated wipes, and is recovering from a rough ear infection that’s now being managed with the help of his vet. His ideal home will be with someone familiar with pet allergies and possibly open to a low-allergen diet to keep him feeling his best.

On walks, Buddy can get a bit leash reactive — likely because he’s so eager to meet new friends! With some consistency and continued training, he’ll keep improving in that area. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, and affectionate companion who wants nothing more than to be your loyal little buddy (pun intended), this lovable guy might be the perfect fit. Ready to meet Buddy? Contact us today to find out if you’re his perfect match! 🐶💙

Frida has been a joy to foster! She is just the sweetest affectionate girl. She loves everyone she meets, along with children, and other dogs. She’s indifferent to cats and has no interest in approaching them. She’s walks very nicely on her leash and enjoys her walks around the neighborhood or Farmers Markets.

She does fine with being left alone at home for several hours and is always in her bed when we return. She is Mostly house trained and hasn’t had any accidents on the wood floors since her first day. She has had a few pee incidents on carpet if she is free to roam the whole house. Other than that she is a very good natured, happy little dog. Being from Mexico, she understands more Spanish than English and doesn’t appear to know any basic commands other than “come here”.

She sleeps all night in her bed in the family room and has quickly learned the routine of potty outside and then straight to her bed for the night with no fuss. She enjoys her stuffed squeaky toys and the occasional bully stick to keep her busy. She’s a low maintenance girl with a lower energy level. She’s happy to just hang out with her people.

Harold and Penny were left behind when their owner was evicted and then they found themselves at the shelter. While they are not necessarily bonded, we think these friends would enjoy being adopted together. Both of them get along with other dogs and are very friendly to all.

Harold is very laid back and very good at potty training. He is always down for a belly rub and will drop and roll over on his back with the slightest inkling that there may be some rubs. He is crate trained and will sleep all night in his kennel. If you leave, when you come back home, Harold will be waiting there with one of his toys and ready for tug of war. Harold takes medication for dry eye but is otherwise very healthy.

Penny is quite the character. She demands attention and will nudge your arm if you are not doing a good job. Penny is also well potty trained and will bark to let you know when it is time to go out. Being that she is a hound, Penny likes to talk a lot. She will give some baying/barking when she is excited or when she wants your attention. Penny is crate trained and sleeps in her crate at night. She loves going on walks, but she does pull quite a bit, so she will need someone to work with her on that. At 50 lbs she will just drag you along! Penny had some ear and skin issues when she came in, but after some treatment, she is doing much better.

This odd couple really are the sweetest most loving dogs and anyone would be so lucky to have them! We are hoping there is someone out there who would love to take this combo home!

Dixie is a sweet, affectionate and funny little lady who just wants to be your number one. Dixie loves her people and wants to be your little shadow wherever you are. She is affectionate and will playfully demand more pets with her paw if she’s decided you’re not done yet. She loves to curl up on a lap and rest but can also be playful and excited whenever she knows it’s time for dinner or to go outside.

She gets along great with her two similarly sized foster brothers and we are told she was a great companion to a 3 year old child in her last home. We were told she doesn’t get along as well with bigger dogs but have yet to test her with them or cats.

Dixie has had a few accidents since coming to stay with us, but she gets better every day with a consistent schedule. She listens and is a fast learner and she will be a great companion to anyone with a consistent schedule and love to give.

Six year old Jones is a darling, good boy. He is mostly blind, but can see a bit and maps out his surroundings easily. You would hardly guess he has limited vision, as he is quite active and playful!

Jones likes car rides and walks and snoozing next to his person. He has had no potty accidents at his foster home and does well with a predictable schedule.

Jones lived previously with a large dog that often attacked him, so he is still easily startled and will thrive in a calm, quiet home where he can truly relax and forget about those days. He currently gets along well with the other small dogs in his foster home although he may do best as an only or with one other easygoing dog.

We recommend an adult only home, or one with respectful, older kids. Jones is a cuddly, affectionate boy with a little bit of puppy energy that makes him irresistible!

Looking for a loyal, loving, and oh-so-special companion? Meet Hank, a 3-year-old French Bulldog with the biggest heart and the gentlest soul.

Hank is happiest living life in the slow lane. He loves leisurely strolls where he can stop and smell every flower, rather than power walks. Whether he’s hanging out at home, meeting new people, or tagging along for a trip to Home Depot, Hank is calm, well-mannered, and always right by your side.

He adores people of all ages and gets along wonderfully with other animals. He’s never shown a hint of reactivity, making him a dream companion for just about any home. Hank truly just wants to love and be loved.

Hank does have special medical needs—he is epileptic and takes medication to manage seizures. Because of this, his ideal forever home is one where someone is home most of the time, in case he needs support. He would thrive in a family with kids and pets, or just as well with a single person who can devote time and love to him. Most importantly, Hank needs someone patient, understanding, and financially able to provide his ongoing medical care.

In return, Hank will give you unwavering loyalty, endless snuggles, and the kind of unconditional love that makes every day brighter. Whoever gets to call Hank their forever pup is truly lucky.

We are so impressed with Lara Croft! Just 2 weeks ago this girl came to us from a California shelter after being pulled from a hoarder house with over 40 dogs. She was absolutely terrified of everything when she got here, but she has made such huge improvements in the 2 weeks we are shocked!
Lara is well on her way to being a "normal" dog. Things that were terrifying at first, don't even phase her! Potty training...no problem, cuddling with humans...yes please! hanging out and meeting new dogs...I got it! We have started teaching her how to walk on leash and she is doing great with that too.

Lara is extremely loving with people, even after all she has been through. With a little patience and kindness, she comes around quickly. She will do best in a home without children and with dogs who can give her space until she feels comfortable. She has lived with cats also and done fine.

Health wise she had a spay and dental surgery. She came in with a skin infection and is getting baths a couple times a week, which she handles like a champ. Her skin should be cleared up in no time now that she is getting good care.

We have done all the hard work for you, now you just need to take this girl home and keep showing her how great life can be!

Fiona

Fiona came to us from the streets of Tijuana hoping to find a home in Oregon. We are not sure what kind of life Fiona had before, but her love of humans is unmatched. No one is a stranger to Fiona, she is ready to give kisses and hugs to whoever she meets!

When she is not out being social, she is perfectly content to be at home with you. She loves to snuggle and if you sit on the couch Fiona will be right there with you. She likes patrolling her backyard keeping you safe from squirrels and snacking on her foster mom's berries. She also enjoys playing with her toys and giving them a good shake!

Fiona's is mostly blind, but she can see movement. . She is missing one eye and the other has dry eye which she will need to take daily drops for.
Despite being blind, Fiona maps out her environment quickly and has learned to use stairs to get on the couch and bed! Other than that Fiona is very healthy and had a full makeover when she got here. Spay, dental, eye removal!

Fiona is a sassy little Frenchie who knows what she wants—and that’s YOU, all to herself! She needs to be your one and only pet (because why share the spotlight?). Don’t worry though, her limited vision makes her easy to handle on walks, and she’s more interested in being by your side than anything else.

If you love Frenchies and would like to give a very special senior girl a home, Fiona will be a wonderful addition!
