Forever Home Highlights

Helping the dogs that come into our care find loving, forever homes is at the heart of everything we do here at Pacific Pug Rescue. It’s always a joy to see our dogs get adopted and become alumni. Hearing how they are  thriving with their new families, surrounded by the love and care they deserve is why we volunteer. We’re excited to share some of their stories and updates with you. Check out how some of these amazing dogs are doing in their forever homes. Have an update you'd like to share? Email us! We'd love to hear from you!

Lilly the Frenchie was found abandoned in the laundry room of an apartment complex. Like all Frenchies we get, she had been neglected medically and needed some work, but we got her all cleaned up and she joined her new family. It was a little rough start for the senior pug in the home...he was used to being the main guy and he was not too happy about this new intruder, but look at his happy face now as he walks with his sister! He looks so proud!

From her  parents:
""Just wanted to share how Lilly is doing!
She is doing really well. Her true Frenchie personality came out and we love her so much. She is very sweet, happy, and silly. Luffy and Lilly are getting along too. Her love is infectious and we are so happy that we have adapted her. We also took her to eye specialist and her eye seems getting better too.
Thank you for the greatest experience and gift to our family. We love Lilly so much."

Winston arrived to Pacific Pug Rescue at just 1 years old but in that time he had gone through quite a few living situations. We were happy to take him in and knew his forever people were out there. After some basic veterinary care, Winston was swooped right up into the loving arms of his forever family.

From his parents:
"We just wanted to share a quick update and some photos of Winston. We are having so much fun with him and are completely in love. He goes on tons of walks around the neighborhood and has already become the unofficial mayor—everyone knows him and he soaks it up.

We took him to the coast this summer to see the ocean. He loved the sand… the water, not so much. Ha! He always tags along to our local food carts, restaurants, and makes friends everywhere we go.

He is the BEST cuddler. He sleeps right next to one of us all night and jumps on our chest when it’s time for breakfast—but only after his morning belly rubs.

He’s made a whole crew of buddies in the neighborhood: Moose, Rosco, Vito Pug-leone, and of course his partner in crime, Draco (aka Mr. Brown, who lives across the street). About 4–5 times a week Winston and Draco have play dates since I work from home and so do Caroline and Paul. At this point they basically think they co-own both houses.

Once a week, the boys go to doggy daycare to socialize and meet new buddies. Winston is still figuring out how to play with the big dogs while Draco runs the yard.

Thank you for bringing him into our lives. We are so in love.
Erika + Craig."
