12 yr old Pug/Terrier Mix
12 yr old Cooper is a pug mix. DNA shows Pug/Chihuahua/Chinese Crested/Pekingese...what a perfect mix!
Cooper's owner died and he was sent to live with a friend who then surrendered to us. Cooper's health had been neglected so he had a much needed dental which made him feel much better! Cooper is very healthy, but he is quite grumpy with new people. With patience and kindness he does come around, but despite our best efforts, we could not find anyone that wanted to put the work into Cooper.
Cooper thinks that is just fine, because he really loves his foster mom and is quite happy to stay put. Because of Cooper's behavior issues, we decided it would be best if he stayed in our Forever Foster program.
Cooper has the cutest face and the sweetest eyes. He is playful and has a surprising amount of energy and playfulness for a 12-year-old pup. When you talk to him, he listens intently to everything you have to say. Cooper loves being a lap dog and a couch potato, watching TV while silently adoring you. He loves to cuddle and will reward you with abundant tail wags and kisses. Cooper is a loyal, devoted dog.
