Are you looking for a forever toddler? Let us introduce you to Mondo! If Mondo is one thing it is entertaining! He is Frenchie through and through! Mondo loves people and can be a baby boy when he wants to be with you or when he does not get his way!
He has been friendly with other dogs he has met, but he will need a cat free home.
Mondo enjoys going for walks and now that his airway is fixed he does quite well with his breathing! Besides people Mondo LOVES toys and we mean he really LOVES them. If you let him he would only think about toys and carry one around 24/7. He also wants to collect sticks on his walk, play basketball with the kids...and by that we mean steal the kids basketball, chase water from the hose...are you getting the picture...Mondo is a bit obsessive and needs training to learn to move on, he can be very determined! His foster mom has been given him set periods of the day when he is allowed to have his toy and then they are removed. Once gone he quickly moves his focus to being with his person and being a sweetie! We have been doing the trade ya technique, treats and offering a walk works great!
Mondo also needs to learn to play and take things a bit more gentle manner. In his excitement he will lunge for his toys and sometimes your hand can be in the way. He is never mean, but dammit he wants that toy! Because of this we are requiring teenage kids only.
Mondo does have great house manners and has not been destructive at all. He is also completely potty trained!
Health wise Mondo is doing great. He did have some minor skin and ear issues when he came in, but with good care and a prescription diet, those have improved greatly.
