mYRTLE
Age: 13-Years Old
FUrever FosteR Since: MaRCH 2024

Myrtle the Boston Terrier arrived to Pacific Pug Rescue after her elderly owner could no longer care for her. She hadn’t received vet care in such a long time, and her dental disease was so severe that she could barely eat. On top of that, she had a very large mammary tumor.

Myrtle had a dental surgery emergently and then several weeks later had her large tumor removed. The tumor was found to be cancerous but fortunately was completely excised. Myrtle's labs showed minor changes to her kidney values and a follow up lab after her surgeries were done, confirmed that she was suffering from early kidney disease and high blood pressure.

We made the decision to keep Myrtle in our Furever Foster program because of her age and multiple health issues. We will make sure she gets the best care and hope to have her around for a long time! She is enjoying her new life in her foster home with a senior pug friend , going camping with her foster dads and getting lots of love!
