Stella is a big beautiful girl looking for a nice retirement home! Stella has had a rough few months after being rehomed from the family she had always known and then being found as a stray. She came in with some skin issues from flea infestation, but is feeling much better now.
Stella is a dream dog, she is house trained and just likes to lounge around the house. She prefers the couch or bed over the floor and she loves to snuggle close. She is house trained and is a low energy girl. Stella does great with getting a bath and having any grooming done. She is very gentle when taking treats.
Stella lives in an only dog home, so we have not seen her with other dogs or cats, but we were told she does not do great when living with them. We are looking for a home where she can be your one and only. She has shown some anxiety on leash when she sees other dogs out walking, but for the most part she likes to meander and take in all the smells.
Stella does fine in the home alone and mostly spends her time sleeping. However leaving her for a full workday is not the best option so someone that works from home or is only gone part of the day will be best. The only time Stella barks is when she hears other dogs barking in the neighborhood or if someone is at the door.
Stella got a full check up with labwork at the vet and she is very healthy...all tests were normal! She does have some arthritis in one of her back knees from an old injury and she has started taking anti inflammatories. She still gets around just fine, but it would probably be best she is not in a home with a lot of stairs. Stella was born a little cross-eyed, which we think this makes her even more endearing!
A owner that is experienced with the bulldog breed will be best for Stella, but whoever gets this sweet girl will be getting a real gem!!!
